My Fun Take on The Summer I Turned Pretty Series (And Why Jeremiah Isn't That Bad!)
That's Just My Point Of View, Please do not hate. Hey Everyone! If You Are Into Beachy Romance, Summer Vibes, and Love Triangles that make your heart race, you need to check out The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. It's a super-popular young-adult book trilogy (plus a prequel). That's also a hit TV show on Amazon Prime Video. Let's break it down easy-peasy (lemon squezy). What's the Series About? The story follows Isabel "Belly" Conklin, a teen girl who spends every summer at a fancy beach house in Cousins Beach with her mom, her best friend Taylor, and the Fisher Family. The Fishers have 2 brothers (2 hot brothers): brooding Conrad and Sunny Jeremiah. Conrad typically exudes a broody, introverted, and thoughtful energy. Jeremiah has the Golden Retriever energy Belly has crushed on Conrad forever, but as she grows up, things get messy with feelings, family drama, and those endless summer nights. BOOK 1:- The Summer I Turned Pretty - Belly's "summer of change." She notices the boys noticing her. Sparks fly! BOOK 2:- Its Not Summer Without You - Heartbreak hits. Where's Conrad? Jeremiah steps up big time. BOOK 3:- We'll Always Have Summer - Choices, weddings, real life. Who does Belly pick? Prequel:- Burn For Burn - A fun side story with revenge and Cousins Beach ghosts. The books are quick reads in simple words, shows you the love triangle of two brothers and one girl. The side love story of Belly's bestfriend Taylor and her brother Steven seems more intersting to me. Taylor is glamourous, always talk about boys and fashion, kinda bubbly personality, creating friction in their friendship. Steven is Belly's witty ambitious and protective older brother. Why Jeremiah Fisher Isn't That Bad (My Honest Review). Okay, real talk: Online some fans trash Jeremiah as the "nice guy backup" or too clingy. They call him a pushover compared to mysterious Conrad. But after rereading the series, I think Jeremiah gets a bad rap. Here's why he's actually awesome and not "that bad' at all: He's loyal to a fault. While Conrad ghosts Belly (litrally disappears when she needs him), Jeremiah is always there. He drives through storms to find her, cheers her up with goofy dances, and supports her dreams. That's real friendship turning into love-not desperate, just solid. Jeremiah shows growth. Yeah, he's flirty and fun-loving at first But over the time he matures. Jeremiah owns his heart-Brave! And Conrad?Still moody and avoidant. He's the fun one we need. Life's short, especially in a summer fling. Jeremiah brings laughs, beach parties, and zero toxicity. Fans bash him for being "second choice," but love isn't and a contest. He's kind, hot (blond hair, blue eyes, surfer bod, greek god), and treats Belly like a queen. In a world of bad boys, Jeremiah's the good guy who wins you over? Don't get me wrong--Conrad has his charm. But Jeremiah not "bad"; he's human. The hate feels unfair, like people want drama over happiness. No matter who you loves the most in the series just give some love to Greek God Jere, he deserves some hype. Now Comment down your team in the comment section. Team Jeremiah OR Team Conrad OR Team Belly?
